++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

It's a beautiful day here in the Kansas City area.  The sun is
shining.  The sky is light blue.  The world looks bright and peaceful. Hope
it is that way for you today - especially in your heart.  If today your
heart is a little cloudy, I pray the Blessed Mother will hold you in her
arms and comfort you until the winds of the Spirit blow those clouds away.
We welcome some new members again.  This group now includes people
from several States.  In fact, the Parents Prayers Series has been sent as
far away as Singapore.  Remember to email your impressions and opinions on
any of the prayers from those booklets.  It's the only way I have of knowing
if they are helpful.  In weeks to come, I will share your comments with the
members of the prayer group (after getting your permission to do so, of
course).
As always, I invite you to share your story with me of your heartaches and
your miracles.
May we all be uplifted and renewed as more people join us so that we
are moved to continue to persevere in prayer for our prodigals.  May our
prayers be answered as God wills.
 Peace,
 MaryAnn

PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR MAY 7, 2004

[Prayer intentions submitted to this group are shared only in the semi-weekly email update sent to members of the online prayer group.  Please keep all of us and our prodigals in your prayers--just as we will pray for you.]

GOD'S WORD FOR US

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God.

Excerpt from: When Loved Ones Turn From God  by Rev.
John H. Hampsch, C.M.F.

It's hard to find a Christian family today that does not have one or more
"black sheep" who have given up church attendance, or perhaps even basic
morality, and turned away from God. If you are distraught by such a sad
situation in your family, be assured that the situation isn't hopeless; you
need not be frustrated when your prayers seem unanswered.

Your anguish at seeing your loved ones drift away from the Lord is a
common suffering experienced by those who strive to love the Lord in these
tumultuous and dissolute times. The coldness and indifference of your loved
ones wounds the heart of Jesus more than they can ever imagine, infinitely
more than it hurts you. But the "burden" you have for them reflects your
zeal for their spiritual welfare. This special grace God has given you
carries with it a certain responsibility ~ and privilege ~ to intercede for
them with fervent and persevering prayer.

God does not command impossibilities, but by commanding admonishes you to
do what you can and to pray for what you cannot, and aids you that you may
be able. -St. Augustine

Word of our Silent Strength presentation and of the Parents Prayers Series
continues to spread by word of mouth.  More and more parents report they are
finding comfort in the words.  Thanks be to God.

 Please give the email address
pray@marianmantle.com to any of your family
and friends who might benefit from joining our online prayer group.

If you are seeing prayers answered, we want to hear about it.  Please
email
maryann@marianmantle.com or phone 913-526-8977.  If no one answers,
please leave your name and phone number and a good time to return your call
and I will call you back.
