++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

It's quite a bit colder in the Kansas City area today than it was at
the time of our last update.  We've been through an ice storm, a snow storm,
and bitter cold this week.  A couple of days ago the clouds were finally
gone and the sunlight shining through the ice encrusted trees made my front
yard look as if it were covered in diamonds.  When we place our troublesome
situations in His care, we can be sure the Son is shining in them--even
though clouds of trials may keep us from seeing Him at work.  We trust, that
in His great plan, good WILL come from every situation as long as we
continue to pray and have faith.   We welcome some new members again this
week.  Please continue to email your impressions and opinions on any of the
prayers from the booklets.  It's the only way I have of knowing if they are
helpful.  In weeks to come, I will share your comments with the members of
the prayer group (after getting your permission to do so, of course).
As always, I invite you to share your story with me of your
heartaches and your miracles.
May we all be uplifted and renewed as more people join us so that we
are moved to continue to persevere in prayer for our prodigals.  May our
prayers be answered as God wills.
 Peace,
 MaryAnn

PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR MAY 7, 2004

[Prayer intentions submitted to this group are shared only in the semi-weekly email update sent to members of the online prayer group.  Please keep all of us and our prodigals in your prayers--just as we will pray for you.]

GOD'S WORD FOR US

Matthew 18:14   "For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams
on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My
blessing on your descendants."

"Prayer must be insistent since insistence denotes faith" - St. Padre Pio

OUR LADY'S WAYS
At a presentation this week a woman shared this beautiful story of hope.
Her daughter and gentleman friend have been living together for several
years.  While the young man has many good qualities, Mom continues to pray
that her daughter's relationship will one day be adjusted to include her
return to the practice of the Faith into which she was born and faithfully
reared.  While visiting their home in the Southwest, daughter surprised her
with a trip to a mission church.  They arrived just in time to attend mass.
When her visit was ending, as a little parting gift, this Mom bought her
daughter a statue of Our Lady of Guadelupe.
Mom told us, "They put it on their mantle, but I had no idea if it would
still be there on my next visit.  To my wonderment, not only was the statue
still there when I returned, they are now collecting images of Our Lady of
Guadelupe!"
How very like Our Lady!  She gets our attention.  Then she calls, "Come
walk with me."  This young couple is now seeking her.  Yes, I know.  Right
now they are searching in gift shops, antique malls, and flea markets.  God
abides in such places, also. Each of our own personal experiences surely has
shown us where any journey with Mary eventually leads, and hopefully this
one will, too!
