++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

     It's a busy month for me with presentations scheduled throughout.  Bob and I were privileged to meet some very nice folks and renew some old friendships at St. Patricks in Kansas City, Kansas last Saturday.  We felt as if we were coming home since we became acquainted with so many last year during RCIA where I was a sponsor for a young woman.  Yesterday, we found that same friendliness and hospitality at St. John's LaLande in Blue Springs.  Those ladies made some wonderful food.  Bob felt obligated to try a second dessert :-).  As always, we met people who are hurting with the same hurts that you and I have experienced.  We pray for them that they will find the peace to enjoy life in spite of the situation and the strength to persevere in prayer for as long as it takes for their prodigal loved one to come home.
     If you know of someone whose parish or group might be interested in hosting a presentation of Silent Strength, please give them my email address or phone number.  There is no fee for the presentation.  All I ask is travel expenses (for out of city locations) and/or a free will offering be taken to pay for our costs to travel to the meeting place.
     I'm rejoicing that I have a new book completed.  It's titled "Through Her Eyes" and Other Meditations on the Mysteries of the Rosary.  It's taken a while to finish since most of the meditations and poems were written in the middle of the night at those times when I awoke and began to think about Mary and Jesus.  It's had good reviews so far.
     We all welcome those new members who have joined with us today.  We are all in this together.  As our online group grows, please remember to pray with us (even if all the time you can spare is to utter the words "Help, Lord!) every Friday at 3:00pm.  The Marian Mantle group prays the rosary and the chaplet of Divine Mercy in front of the Blessed Sacrament at that time.  We pray for your prodigals, our prodigals, and for all the names that have been written around the picture of Our Lady of Sorrows.
      God bless all of us and grant us His Peace.
Peace,
MaryAnn

PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR MAY 7, 2004

[Prayer intentions submitted to this group are shared only in the semi-weekly email update sent to members of the online prayer group.  Please keep all of us and our prodigals in your prayers--just as we will pray for you.]

GOD'S WORD FOR US

Zechariah 10:6 "I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the LORD their God and I will answer them.

HOPE: by Father James Keller, M.M. Founder, The Christophers

HOPE: Looks for the good in people instead of harping on the worst.
HOPE: Opens doors where despair closes them.
HOPE: Discovers what can be done instead of grumbling about what cannot.
HOPE: Draws its power from a deep trust in God and the basic goodness of human nature.
