++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,
Welcome to all those who have joined us since last time.  Several are folks Bob and I met at the Avila conference.  We had such a great audience there!

    I’m told the Leavenworth
, Kansas prayer groups are rolling along smoothly.  Jane Stucker has been working hard to make sure all the details get taken care of.  I know she has many great people there to help her and who are working out many of the details together.  I know because she praises them in her emails!
The Prince of Peace group in Olathe, Kansas was well-attended this afternoon.  Many had been absent due to illness and vacation.  Our thanks once more, to Chris who leads the rosary for us there.
Father David Fontaine has apparently been busy spreading the word at his new parish because I have had several emails from people in California—and some have indicated they are from Our Lady of Mt Carmel parish.
Remember to pause for a moment each day and lift all of the members of this group in prayer.  If you feel isolated at any time, remember there are people around the globe praying for your prodigal.  And anytime you want to have a prayer meeting just call and you will always have four more persons to pray with you—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Blessed Mother.
Bob and I sure could use YOUR prayers, as life keeps unfolding.  We pray for each of you every evening.  May ALL of our prodigals find their way home.
I would love to hear from YOU!
May God bless all of us and grant us His Peace.
Peace,
MaryAnn

PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR MAY 7, 2004

[Prayer intentions submitted to this group are shared only in the semi-weekly email update sent to members of the online prayer group.  Please keep all of us and our prodigals in your prayers--just as we will pray for you.]

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear MaryAnn,
I am enjoying the Parents Rosary Novena and have to tell you that I feel like something is happening even though I don't know quite sure what. I do know that my faith is strong and I trust in the Lord to take care of this situation. The Lord seems to be very busy taking care of a lot of things, so I must be praying  very hard. Maybe it is just deepening my prayer life that is making me feel better but that is what it is all about.  ~Kansas~

 Dear MaryAnn,
I just wanted to let you know my son has attended church 2 weekends in a row. I would like to thank you for the prayers. He was only gone for 10 months, and I do believe he has returned…he is leaving to go to graduate school…leaving is very hard for me..Tears have already begun to shed. But my main reason for writing is to let you know prayers work!   ~Kansas~

 Dear MaryAnn,
I just want you to know that we parents of prodigals really do appreciate all that you do for us & ours. It was good to hear you speak with feeling & conviction at the conference. Thank you so very much for your ministry.  That goes to your family, too as one couldn't do it alone. ~Missouri~

 Editor,
So grateful I found this web site.  I want to get a copy of your prayers for my mother.  She is elderly and hurting so much over the children and grandchildren who stopped going to church. ~California

GOD'S WORD FOR US

For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when some of his sheep have been scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.

I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord GOD. I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed. ~ Ezekiel 34: 11-12,15-16 ~

WORDS OF HOPE

If you want God to hear your prayers, hear the voice of the poor. If you wish God to anticipate your wants, provide those of the needy without waiting for them to ask you.  ~ St. Thomas of Villanova

Nothing restrains anger, curbs pride, heals the wound of malice, bridles self-indulgence, quenches the passions, checks avarice and puts unclean thoughts to flight, as does the name of Jesus.   ~St. Bernard

WHAT'S NEW AT MARIAN MANTLE

NEW ON THE WEB SITE
Prayer Groups:  Now, you can find a list of  prayer groups that pray for prodigals or post the information about your prayer group on the web site.
Back issues of The Mantle:  Previous Online Prayer Group updates have been archived on the web site.  Specific prayer requests have not been posted for viewing by the general public.  The MM Group feels these are personal and should remain private and shared only within our online group.
Rosary Winners:  We are now posting those whose names are drawn to receive the rosaries donated by the O’Hara family to be given away at the talks.  Unfortunately, we haven’t kept a record until now.  If you won a rosary, please let us know about it.

NEWSLETTER
We are working on the next issue of the Newsletter.  If you have something to include, please contact us.

"SILENT STRENGTH” NOW AVAILABLE ON TAPE AND CD
The talk is now available on tape or cd and can be ordered from the web site.

 "SILENT STRENGTH" PRESENTATION INFORMATION:

maryann@marianmantle.com

 PRAYER TEAM MEMBERS
If you would be interested in being included on the list of those who attend and pray or pray at home while MaryAnn is speaking, please let us know by email or phone 913-526-8977.  We try to have at least one or two people who attend each talk.  Of course, we are always asking  people to life Marian Mantle and its efforts in prayer.  We firmly believe it is prayer that makes this effort so well-received and allows us to reach many who are hurting—both the prodigals and those who love and pray for them.

 NEW MEMBERS:
Welcome to all our new members.  New or old, MaryAnn would like to hear your story.  Email her or phone 913-526-8977.  If you have any suggestions as to what you’d like to see added to the web site, to the talk, or to the publications, please email your suggestions, too.

 PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORY**
